OwnSangeet Privacy Notice

Who we are and how to contact us

OwnSangeet operates https://ownsangeet.com, a service for creating and managing personalized songs. This notice explains how OwnSangeet handles information when you visit the website, sign in, contact us, or use features made available to you. Information you provide

We process account information such as your name, email address and, if you use a phone-based sign-in method, your phone number and verification result. We also process information you choose to provide in messages, occasion reminders, song briefs, names, stories, lyrics, uploaded material and delivery or support requests. Please provide information about another person only when you have permission to do so, and avoid including sensitive information that is unnecessary for your song.

When ordering is available, we process order, payment-status, refund and delivery records to provide the purchased service. Payment credentials entered at a payment provider are handled by that provider; we use payment references and status records to reconcile orders. Live purchasing is currently disabled on this website.

Sign in with Google

Google sign-in is optional. If you choose it, we request only `openid`, `email` and `profile`. Google supplies an account identifier, your email address and its verification status, and your basic profile information, including your name when available. Although the profile permission can include a profile picture, the current integration does not store or display your Google profile picture.

We use your Google identity to create or recognize your OwnSangeet customer account, protect sign-in, and provide access to your account and customer support. We store your email, name when supplied, email-verification status, and a hashed representation of the Google account identifier. We retain sign-in timestamps and security audit records. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar or other Google account content. We do not retain Google access tokens, ID tokens or refresh tokens for ongoing account access. Signing in does not itself grant analytics or advertising consent.

You can remove OwnSangeet's connection in your Google Account's third-party connections settings. Removing that connection prevents continued use of the grant but does not delete information already held by OwnSangeet; request deletion as described below.

Website operation, analytics and advertising

Essential cookies and related security records support sign-in, session protection and remembering privacy choices. Server request information is used to operate the site, investigate errors and prevent abuse.

Optional analytics and advertising depend on your separate privacy choices. When enabled with your permission, analytics can record public pages or sections visited, interactions, active time, media playback and campaign attribution. We use these records to understand service use and improve the website. Google Analytics receives consented measurement events and identifiers.

With advertising consent, Meta Pixel and Conversions API can receive public-site or conversion events, event identifiers and campaign or browser identifiers. Where available, customer email or phone information can be hashed and used for event matching. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. Browser and server versions of the same event use matching identifiers to avoid double counting. Google Tag Manager manages the permitted browser tags. Optional tracking is excluded from sign-in, account, order and administrative pages.

Use Privacy choices in the website footer to change optional consent. Changes apply to future collection and delivery; they do not automatically remove data a provider has already received. You can separately request deletion or assistance.

Sharing and service providers

Authorized OwnSangeet operators and service providers process information needed to supply the functions you use. These can include hosting and database services, Google for sign-in and analytics, an enabled phone-verification provider for a phone login you select, email or messaging services for communications you request, and Cloudinary for protected song media and previews. Advertising information is shared with Meta only under the separate advertising choice described above. Providers may process information outside your country under their own terms and privacy notices.

Song-production assistance, publishing to music platforms and public sharing are separate activities. They require the relevant customer instructions and approval; Google sign-in does not authorize public release of your song or personal story. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. We do not sell Google account information or use Google account content to train general-purpose AI models.

Storage, security and retention

Account and service records are stored in our application database. We restrict access by role, use HTTPS for the website, and protect private media using authenticated storage and expiring delivery links. No service can guarantee absolute security.

We keep information needed to maintain your account, deliver requested services, handle support and resolve security or legal obligations. Deletion requests are reviewed against these purposes and any applicable retention requirements. Information no longer needed is removed through the deletion process; provider copies, backups and cached media require separate cleanup and may not disappear immediately. Where a record must be retained, its continued purpose and retention decision are reviewed as part of your request. This notice does not promise a fixed deletion deadline or instant removal from third-party systems.

Your choices and requests

You can manage available account information and privacy choices at https://ownsangeet.com/account/privacy. You may request access to your information, correction or account deletion there, or contact ownsangeet@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before disclosing or changing account information. Submitting a request is not confirmation that deletion has finished. We track the request and any retention or provider-cleanup steps needed to resolve it.

The service's account and ordering functions are intended for adults. If you believe a child supplied personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address it. A song about a child does not require the child to create a Google or OwnSangeet account.

Changes to this notice

We will publish updated versions here with their effective date. If we propose a new use of Google user data or another use that requires additional permission, we will provide an updated explanation and request the necessary consent before using data for that purpose.
